Active listening has even more impact in the virtual environment. We are still learning the new 'online cues' that go with virtual meetings. Handy advice here from HBR.
We are all in some ways in the corporate trenches at the moment. In the isolation of the virtual world, we often feel like we have to fight to be heard, lest our voice get lost in the noise. Thoughtful, active listening raises your status in the conversation and makes it more likely that others will want to sit up and listen to you.
