I was really interested to read this as today I had just been to an event with a PT who had also explained how important sleep is for your health and also for your mental well being. You hear a lot of people saying that they can survive on as little as 3 - 4 hours of sleep a night, and I wonder whether that is actually true or whether this cycle is having a very detrimental impact on their health.

Sleep doesn't just recharge your energy batteries for another days work, it recharges your health and your mind. It can affect your heart, your weight and even your life expectancy. 

These guidelines of how much we should sleep at each stage in our lives I think are much more important than we know. Lack of sleep my not be an issue for you now but one day it will catch up on you!
